After finishing school in the year of the fall of the Berlin Wall and receiving my U.S. college degree in the year Kurt Cobain shot himself, I did many things professionally: I was a business plan developer & analyst for the acquisition of venture capital in Los Angeles, advertising consultant for large corporations such as Telekom and Microsoft, IPO advisor for INTERSHOP, New Business Manager for ICON Medialab of Stockholm, founder of my own consulting boutique, copywriter for Olympus Medical Systems Europe, Entrepreneur with two start-ups in the ART and insurance fields, delicatessen, wine and book dealer with my own concept store FREUZEUG, chef & recipe developer for my own delicatessen brand “FREUZWIEBEL” and time and again copywriter, storyteller and multidisciplinary advertising man for various clients from near and far, big and small.
Some of this was successful and some was not. Every single step success and failure alike are equally important in becoming who I am today.
None of my prior ventures, jobs and projects have been so fulfilling that I did focus on this one thing, this one job.
So today I say: Writing copy, concepts, essays, stories, researching, connecting facts and figures and exploring new unseen connections make me happy. Presenting and speaking make me happy too.
Remember: What makes you happy makes you become the best version of yourself.
